Dreams And Nightmares

"Fuck you!you fucking puppy Dog, fucking shameless street dog, fucking prick" Riri screams at the top of her voice. Her bruised left eye is more watery than a nymph's wet cunt. She slams the door, kicks the purple Lugz boot by the stairs, reaches for the Jack Daniels on the wine shelve, staggers towards the wall while swallowing a mouthful of Jacky in her hand. In a slow but precise motion, she drops her ass on the floor, fingers her hair with her two hands and pulls it up in anguish, makes a groan and breaks down into tears. Woo-hoo,woo-uhhh, sniffs at interval and cries on.

Aston Villa - An Example to Follow?

Last season for Aston Villa was one of the worst they had endured in the Premier League; Alex McLeish had taken over at Villa Park joining from arch rivals Birmingham City. The fans automatically before he was even offered the job staged a protest reacting angrily to rumours Lerner was set to offer him a contract. McLeish accepted the offer from Lerner, the fans anger wasn’t just at the club he had joined from but they believed he was tactically inept to manage such a big club. He had however won the Carling cup with Birmingham City after beating favourites Arsenal 2-1; this was short-lived as the club were relegated to the Npower Championship. The fans were on his back from the very start of the season, low attendances for what usually is a rocking full house at Villa Park. The fans worries began to surface, poor performances at both home and away, squad selection also began to raise eyebrows with Warnock and Hutton playing out wide as wingers and even some occasions misfiring striker Heskey was played out wide. McLeish and his negative tactics were not welcome at Aston Villa, the fans vented there frustration with banners and choruses of boos met the Scottish manager at half time. His plan of trying to contain much better opponents for 90 minutes continually backfired and Villa would come off losers, this wasn’t because they were a poor side on paper they should of easily been hitting he top half instead they were fighting relegation. The season ended with Aston Villa sitting in 16th place just two points off relegation, this was too close and Lerner called a meeting with McLeish where he was sacked from his post. The Villains will be hoping they can get back to their best where they were fighting to get in the top 4 alongside Martin O’Neil, can Paul Lambert do the same.

The squad McLeish had at his disposal last season didn’t lack quality, Agbonlahor, Nzogbia, Ireland, Given all experienced players that should of helped Aston Villa to a much stronger position last season. The youth academy at Aston Villa has produced some brilliant youth players; Gary Gardner is one of the brightest prospects at the club although he is currently out for the season with a serious injury. Paul Lamberts transfer activity this window was intriguing to say the least, instead of going for older experienced professionals who have played for some of the top teams he has gone to the lower leagues and signed youngsters with an appetite to succeed. This is great for English football, lower league players are being given a chance at some of the most illustrious clubs in the Premier League. Matthew Lowton signed for Aston Villa from Sheffield United, the right back is only 23 years old so has plenty of time to mature and improve in what looks to be a fruitful career. Joe Bennett, Ashley Westwood, Jordan Bowery and Christian Benteke are the remaining of Lamberts new recruits at Villa Park, with all four of them not breaking over 22 years of age there plans for the future, right? Lambert has already thrown Lowton into the premier League and his faith has been restored with solid performances. Lambert seems to be a firm believer if you’re good enough then age and experience don’t play a part in his selection. These signings are also relatively unknown to those who don’t follow anything other than their own domestic leagues with Westwood playing in the third tier of English football not renowned for world class talent. Benteke was recruited after a rather drawn out saga from Genk in the Belgium League, Lambert is looking to unfavourable leagues to pick up young talented players for a third of the price that would be paid for big name players in the more well-known leagues.

So, is this an example more teams should follow. It will help not only to improve the national squad because of the amount of English players now turning out for teams in the Premier League but the finance from these deals to smaller sides will help them in improving there infastructure. This could help them to be sustainable in the future and advancements in youth academies could mean the production of talent through the ranks could increase in quality; all of this will only help to improve the lower leagues. Broadcast companies such as Sky and ESPN could then look to sign lucrative deals with teams as the standard of football has improved more people will enjoy watching it; this also ties in with finance with smaller teams the money can then be used to once again improve the club. Another plus for young players coming from unknown teams and less favourable leagues is they have a huge appetite for the game. Older players have experienced everything in the game and with huge contracts that will keep them financially sorted for the rest of their lives which can mean they may not put in the required effort. Young players want to impress, they will run for 90 minutes to show the manager that they are good enough and will do anything he requires of them for the team. Lambert has recognised that and with Hutton and Warnock’s exclusion from the first team has clearly meant that they don’t have the required ability and enthusiasm for the game as his young apprentices do. Brendan Rodgers was quoted saying

“Young players will run through a fence for you older players will look for the whole in the fence"

I think Lambert clearly has a plan in place he feel he can achieve at Aston Villa it will take time to adapt to and time needs to be given to him for it to be achieved. I’m sure Aston Villa fans would prefer to see younger less experienced players giving 110% rather than older players giving 95%. Aston Villa fans what do you think of lamberts philosophy do you agree leave comment below. Football fans do you think the whole of football will benefit from younger lower league players being given the chance on the big stage leave a comment below on your opinions.

NextGen Series - The Future of Youth

The NextGen tournament was founded in August 27th 2011, ever since its introduction it’s pitched some of the most illustrious clubs young talents against each other in a European tournament. The tournament included clubs such as FC Barcelona, Liverpool, Sporting Lisbon and Aston Villa. The clubs are famed for not only for their European triumph in competitions such as the Champions League and the Europa League, but also there academy’s that have produced world class players that are still gracing some of the most historic pitches in football. It started off as a more experimental competition not knowing if it would become as successful and profitable as it has become, youth team football isn’t the most watched spectacle of the game as it’s mainly played behind closed doors or at academies with a crowd of just over a 100 people. The NextGen series has challenged this concept and taken U19 football and put it on the European stage in a format that follows the Champions League. They also had fixtures at grounds such as Villa Park famous for their 1982 European Cup triumph and Anfield the home of five times European champions; it would give the clubs youth prospects experience of playing in a stadium capable of holding over 45,000 supporters. So, is the NextGen reshaping the foundations of youth football and taking it to a new level?

Woman delivers horse in Edo church

Worshippers of the World Liberation Ministry located along old Sapele-Benin express road on Tuesday took to their heels during a prophesy programme when a female member delivered a horse.
The horse was however dead by the time Journalists visited the church. It was gathered that the woman whose identity was not yet known started screaming during the prayer session and began to bleed from the vagina before the horse came out.
The General Overseer of the church, Evangelist Silva Wealth, said he was still amazed at what came out of the woman.

He told Journalists that during prayers a revelation came that there was a woman with an issue and that something was blocking her womb.

Silva said as prayers intensified, the woman started screaming and bleeding started when the object came out.
The cleric said he couldn’t confirm whether the horse was dead or alive because he didn’t go near it.
“I can’t describe the object. We have seen people that vomited several things during our service but not this type of thing. God has been blessing our ministry with prophesies and miracles, “he said.
People rushed to the church to catch a glimpse of the horse when news of the delivery filtered into town.

Pepe Reina - Youthful Competiton

Pepe Reina has been at Liverpool since 2005; he has racked up over 350 appearances for the Mersey side club and has been a first team regular ever since Benitez signed the Spanish stopper. There’s no denying Reina when on form can make some impressive saves, however when he isn’t having a particularly good game which in all honesty is becoming a more frequent scenario he can easily make mistakes that cost his side games. Reina's main problem is consistency, this isn’t one of his strengths and this hurts not only his own confidence but the players around him the defence become more worried that a mistake will happen once a shot is stuck at goal.

River turns red in Chinese city

Meeting point: A ship sails across the junction of the polluted Yangtze River (left) and the Jialin River in Chongqing, China, yesterday
In the thick of it: A fisherman goes about his daily business
Dirty/clean: A ship sails across the junction of the Yangtze River and the Jialin River at the exact spot where the dyed river starts to bleed into the Jialin
Check it out! Some residents were so amazed that they collected samples in water bottles

Yangtze river, which runs through the city in south-western China, turned a bright shade of orange-red yesterday. While officials investigate the cause of the colouring, one fisherman went about his daily business as if nothing had happened.Others were so amazed that they collected samples in water bottles.

Although the cause is yet to be determined, this is not the first time a river has turned red in China.

There are things we can't change and things we don't want to change. Things we could have changed and things we dare not change due to the satisfaction we derive from them. Like spending my Sunday morning at home, sweating profusely on a supposed chorister from one of the new generation churches on the eve of christmas, whao! That was fun and it's one of those things you don't get a chance to do often. As clock alarm beeped and she jumped off the bed and off to the reading table to check the time.

Premier League - Young Talents

Carl Jenkinson- The Arsenal right back has made 12 appearances for his club and the majority of those were in a spell in the first stages of last season. This proved to be a tough start to his Arsenal career, he was a full backs dream inexperienced and a tendency to make sloppy mistakes that led to either a goal or pressure on his fellow defenders. His worst game probably came against Manchester United in which the eventful game finished 8-2 in the red devils favour, he was constantly troubled and looked well out of his comfort zone. He did collect an assist however setting up Van Persie to bring the score to 6-2, in the 76th minute Carl Jenkinson was given a red card for two bookable offences to bring his nightmare to an abrubt end.

Premier League - Team of the Week

Goalkeeper- Brad Guzan, The Aston Villa shot stopper re-joined the Villains after initially leaving at the end of his contract. Brad Guzan has made only 9 appearances for Aston Villa, his lack of first team opportunities is down to fellow goalkeeper Shay Given. The ex-Republic of Ireland international is an outstanding keeper a veteran of the Premier League and is someone a team can rely on. Given however made a horrendous error that allowed Fellaini's rather feeble header to end up in the back of the net. Paul Lambert obviously feels no player is untouchable regardless of stature and was quoted saying he will choose out of training between the two goalkeepers who he wanted to start the match against Newcastle United. The American had an outstanding game on Tyneside making several outstanding games that kept his side in the game which eventually finished 1-1. In what was essentially the last kick of the game, a free kick from French international Yohan Cabaye was struck well and was heading into the back of the net only to find Brad Guzan sprawling to his right and make a tremendous save. Lambert entrusted him with a start for Aston Villa and he justified that decision, for his performance he deserves to be in team of the week.

THE LOVE CYCLE (getting the milk for free)

How beautiful is your love life? Paralympics: Nigeria's Adesokan wins gold, breaks World record

Yakubu Adesokan has won the first gold medal for Nigeria in the on-going Paralympic Games in London.

The 33 year-old did it in style by breaking the world record in the men's 48 category by lifting 178 kg, which is over three times his body weight! Go Yakubu!

Premier League - Team of the Week

Goalkeeper- Ali Al-Habsi, one of the most underrated goalkeepers in the Premier League, the Wigan number 1 is a fantastic shot stopper. Al-Habsi has made mistakes in his career but when he is on form he can make astounding reflex saves and palm away stinging drives. The Oman international was on fine form at St Mary's for an away fixture against Southampton keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win. He showed real quality that when in form he can be up there as one of the best goalkeepers on the Premier League stage. The new Nike Maxim ball has been criticised already with only 2 games into the new Premier League season, the question experts are asking does the ball swerve too much leaving goalkeepers at an unfair disadvantage. Federici, Cech and Tim Howard have all had rather uncharacteristic mistakes; Karim El Ahamdi's drive against Everton swerved to the right incredibly late meaning Howard was unable to divert the ball away from goal. Al-Habsi saved several long range efforts against Southampton electing to punch and parry shots rather than attempt to catch them and make a match costing mistake. Al-Habsi thoroughly deserves his place in the team of the week for his performance against Southampton.

Raheem Sterling - The Teenage Sensation

Raheem Sterling has burst onto the scene for Liverpool FC, at just 17 years of age the youngster has already meant veteran Downing has had to switch his role to defensive duties at left back. So, where has this prodigy came from and will he cement himself in the Liverpool team for many years to come or simply drop from the spotlight as many have done before him. Sterling's career didn’t start at Liverpool instead he came through QPR's youth academy, even back then his talents were impressing many in the football world this was the beginning of what looks set to be a fantastic career. The teenager’s talents began attracting interest and in February 2010 Liverpool had an offer accepted for his signature of a small fee of £600,000 but appearances and performance add ons could raise the fee in the region of £5 million. Liverpool FC has a great history of taking raw talents and refining them into brilliant players Owen, Gerrard and Fowler a few of the big names in English and world football. It’s fair to say Sterling had joined a club with an illustrious past and one with big ambition for winning trophies on the greatest stage which at the moment in time has eluded them. Raheem is making a big splash in England so how far can he go?

Sterling stands at 5ft 7in a respectable size for a modern winger, the physicality of the English game is sometimes a stumbling block in smaller player’s careers. This however didn’t stop him excelling in youth and reserve team football for the Reds, the 14th of February "Valentine’s day" saw him enter the hearts of Liverpool fans, the FA youth cup saw Sterling amazingly grab five goals in a 9-0 win. This may only be youth level but 5 goals at any level in the professional game is a fantastic achievement, it showed he was above that level at such a tender age and began featuring in reserve games for Liverpool FC. Kenny Dalglish was in charge of Liverpool when he got his first appearance in the Premier League as a substitute in the 2-1 loss against Wigan Athletic, he received a rapturous applause from the Anfield faithful who were excited to see one of the youngsters rise through the ranks all the way to the first 11. The 4-1 win against Chelsea saw him also come on late in the game as a substitute and could have scored with his first touch on the field highlighting the threat he carries. After Dalglish was sacked as manager Brendan Rodgers came in to replace the Liverpool legend, his emphasis on high wingers and promoting of youth in first team plans was the boost young Raheem needed.

Brendan Rodgers announced his squad that he would be taking on Liverpool's North American tour; Raheem Sterling was included in the list which carried a mixture of youth and experience. The first game played was against Toronto, Sterling came on in the second half and looked alert and his pace was causing problems down the left. Sterling played a major part in the equaliser when he took the ball through the defence and his low shot tricked past the goalkeeper where Adam Morgan was on hand to stab the ball home for his first goal for Liverpool FC. This performance impressed Rodgers and his continuation of form during the pre-season meant the expectation and excitement began to build around the player and whether he would feature in Rodgers plans this season. Liverpool faced FC Gomel in the Europa League qualifier and Sterling made the bench for the fixture, Joe Cole became injured around 20 minutes into the game and Sterling was sent on to replace him. He performed well and the friendly against Bayern Leverkusen saw him start the game and only a few minutes into the game scored his first senior goal, a penetrating run down the left saw him break away from the defence, cutting inside he then speculatively curled the ball into the far corner leaving the keeper no chance. Another Europa League fixture, another start for young Sterling and he didn’t disappoint. Hearts defence was left in fear with Sterling's raw pace and quick feet his Motm performance left fans and pundits speechless how a player so young can have so much maturity and quality to his play. Rodgers was clearly so impressed he took a huge risk to start him in a full Premier League game against defending champions Manchester City. Sterling was not at all phased by the occasion seemingly too young to be afraid and played fantastically, he could have been Motm and in some options was, but Joe Allen on his home debut picked up that accolade.

Sterling is primarily a wide midfielder, his pace, vision and dribbling skills make him a perfect match for the fast paced action of the Premier League. In every game he has played once the ball has arrived at his feet there is only one thing on his mind, taking the defender on. Sterling is not phased who he is up against this showed against City, Toure a highly experienced and top quality centre back however Sterling gave him the run around for 90 minutes. The technique he shows when up against a defender is that of a modern winger he aims to either beat them with speed leaving them behind or tempting them in for a tackle only for his quick feet to shuffle his way past the opponent. The last few games he has appeared in for Liverpool have seen him adapt a persistence to try and side foot and curl the ball rather than strike it with conviction whether this is a personal preference or something he works on in training it sometimes makes him predictable and the shot a lot safer to deal with for the goalkeeper. The youngster has represented England on 3 different youth levels and has impressed similarly there as with his club, scoring 4 goals in total. However internationally his senior career seems unresolved with him eligible to play for England or his native country Jamaica, he is open to the opportunity to play for Jamaica and if reports are to be believed his mother would prefer he turned out in the colours of green black and yellow. I’m sure England fans who have seen the emergence of the starlet would much prefer him to play for the three lions but the choice is up to Sterling alone.

Raheem Sterling looks to already have established himself in Rodgers plans and with his exposure to first team football can only become more refined and mature as a player. He is what Liverpool have lacked for a long time a player with pace who is willing to take on defenders and create something out of nothing, every time the 17 year old gets the ball the Anfield crowd rise expecting a dash of brilliance. The right guidance and tutoring will see him grow into a hugely talented player and with the greats of Gerrard and Carragher gracing the same pitch of him he has role models worthy of any player. A video emerged of the American tour where Rodgers reacted to something Sterling had said and gave the youngster a stern talk, this kind of man management will help keep his feet on the ground and learn and Rodgers appreciates him as a player but also as a person. It’s clear to see Raheem Sterling is talented and if he works hard as he is doing I’m sure there is no limit for the teenager.

What are your opinions on Raheem Sterling and are there any young stars you would like me to write about leave a comment below, thanks.

Naked support for Prince Harry on Facebook

.Attention!

Whatever the royal family and his army superiors may think of his exploits in Las Vegas, many Britons can barely hide their support for Prince Harry, posting naked pictures of themselves on social media in honour of him.
A Facebook group entitled "Support Prince Harry with a naked salute!", featuring people posing in various states of undress saluting the third-in-line to the throne -- has won more than 12,000 members and is still growing.
The group sprang up after Harry, 27, was photographed naked after a game of "strip billiards" during a party in a VIP hotel suite in Las Vegas. The images, first published on a US website, rapidly went viral and caused a furore in Britain.
The response was a flood of images of people saluting while posing in various states of undress, often with strategically placed props including Union Jack flags, camouflage backpacks and teddy bears.

Eat your way to good health

Multiple research studies have shown that eating certain foods can help to minimize your risk of developing breast cancer. Some foods to add into your diet include yellow/orange fruits and vegetables such as butternut squash as they are packed with antioxidant beta-carotene which has been linked to lowered risk of breast cancer. Flax seeds, walnuts, cranberries and omega-3 fatty acids (found in oily fish, avocados and eggs) have also been linked to reduced risk of breast cancer, while eating foods high in magnesium can help prevent breast swelling and tenderness.

Check your bra size

It is thought that more than 70 per cent of women regularly wear the wrong bra size, yet this can not only lead to significant health problems including poor posture, skin irritation and breathing difficulties, but it can irreversibly damage breast ligaments, leading to breast pain and sagging. Breast size can change frequently over your lifetime due to weight changes, pregnancy or menopause so, rather than guessing your size, make sure you get measured regularly to ensure you are getting the support you need.
